Freedom Park Trails
This 600-acre forested retreat also features approximately 2 miles of multiuse trails, including a 1-mile ADA accessible paved trail, and more than 20 miles of mountain bike trails.
The Williamsburg Botanical Garden is located at Freedom Park.
Fishing at Diascund Reservoir
Diascund Reservoir is open to the general public for boating access and fishing.
Wander along this 3.5-mile nature trail that loops through a landscape of beaver ponds, wetlands and forests.
Water Recreation on the Chickahominy River
Chickahominy Riverfront Park features a boat ramp to launch personal watercraft and it’s also available for use 24 hours a day.
Amenities include a 0.6-mile paved ADA accessible multiuse trail, sand volleyball courts, lighted basketball courts and tennis/pickleball courts, Wi-Fi connectivity and lots of open space.
REC Connect is a year-round youth and teen program that offers safe and enjoyable summer camps, before and after-school and school break experiences.
James City County Recreation Center
James City County offers a variety of swimming and water fitness classes for ages 5 months to adults. More than 150 classes are available monthly.
Freedom Park Settlement
Freedom Park is home to one of the nation's earliest Free Black Settlements in America from 1803-1850.

Freedom Park is the site of an 18th Century cemetery, the Revolutionary War Battle of Spencer’s Ordinary and a 17th Century domicile.
Greensprings Interpretive Park
Over 200 species of birds have been documented on this site, which is part of the Virginia Birding Trail.
Kidsburg features separate play areas for children ages 2-5 and 5-12, a ship replica, swing areas and a zip line.
Fishing at Chickahominy Riverfront Park
The park offers a 290-foot lighted fishing pier that’s available for use 24 hours a day and a catch-and-release pond.
