If so, then you won’t want to miss these Pitch Perfect Training Sessions leading up to the big event!

You will learn:

  • How to pare down your pitch to the 90 seconds allowed during the first round of Start Peninsula
  • How to perfect your pitch to include the necessary elements within the allowed time frame
  • How to deliver and articulate your pitch with ease

Pitch Perfect Workshops are free to those pitching an idea at Start Peninsula or $10 for each workshop. A promotion/discount code will be given to those that attend Pitch Perfect and then later decide to pitch at Start Peninsula.

Have you ever heard or said that? Accurate data of business expenses and income is important. Understanding that data and using it to identify the strengths and weaknesses of your business is even more important. This workshop will give you the information you need to do this.

Increase your knowledge and awareness of:

  • the financial data essential for business management
  • early detection of financial problems
  • tracking and forecasting revenue
  • the importance of detailed expense information
  • cash and accrued accounting; why they differ and the use of each

The workshop will be taught by Florence Santoro, a principal with ABS-Accounting & Bookkeeping Solutions, a full service accounting and bookkeeping company located in York County.

Start PeninsulaStart Peninsula flyer

Start Peninsula is a weekend-long event to stimulate entrepreneurial growth in the local community by connecting early stage businesses to validation, opportunities and resources. Start Peninsula combines a pitch competition with business education throughout the year and is also a celebration of our local entrepreneurial ecosystem. Dozens of entrepreneurs connect with business leaders and mentors during this exciting event that showcases early stage businesses.

Early stage businesses are invited to apply to pitch at Start Peninsula. If a business is invited to pitch at Start Peninsula, they must pay a fee of $75 before Oct. 1 or $100 after. Thirty businesses will be invited to pitch on Friday, Nov. 1 and three winners will be selected on Sunday, Nov. 3. Winners will receive $5,000 to fuel their business growth and free access to local resources.

This year’s event will feature Friday keynote speaker, Warren Haber Jr., who will provide feedback and assistance to the top 10 companies. Erica McMannes, founder and COO of Instant Teams, will be the Sunday keynote speaker.
